About this event

The Marin Aging Action Initiative's Inform&Connect Academy delivers the newest information on resources available to older adults in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis.

This week's presentation will be about preparing clients for the hazards of summer. Speakers will include:

  • Todd Lando, Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority JPA: wildfire hazard evaluations/inspections; hiring contractors for defensible space maintenance and home hardening; resources for residents with access and functional needs
  • Maggie Lang, Ready Marin/Ready Seniors: preparing for fires and power outages
  • Adriana Rabkin, Marin VOAD: introduction to Continuity of Operations Plans

Inform&Connect is a free training designed for help-desk, information hotline, front-line volunteers and staff who work with the public to provide information about programs and services for older people in Marin. Specialists share their expertise and resources through presentations and audience Q&A.

This hour-long academy will be held through Zoom. Please register to receive the link to join.
